IP multicast will be indispensable to provide video distribution services efficiently on the Internet. However, because of the characteristics of the present Internet, video quality is degraded by packet dropping when Internet traffic is congested and the bandwidth of each multicast node becomes disproportional. For solving these problems, the transfer method is needed to suppress the impairment by packet dropping and adapt for the network environment.
We evaluate the performance of proposal method compare with the case that distributed FEC redundancy fixed in using computer simulation. And we evaluate these methods in characteristics of transient responses, interfering traffics and FEC redundancy traffics and confirm the efficiency.
