With the rapid speed of mobile terminals in recent years, the number of Internet access from mobile terminals has been dramatically increasing. Considering the history and evolution of the wired networks, wireless streaming will be widely used in the coming years. However, it is known the wireless conditions change greatly due to moving terminal locations, and transmission errors frequently occur. Therefore the use of the traditional streaming with UDP protocol cannot avoid the high priority packets loss, which causes the significant degradation of content quality.
Computer simulations have evaluated the performance of our proposed method. We compared our scheme to the streaming with UDP and TCP without our proposed functions. We confirmed that our proposed method is more adequate for keeping content quality.
