The Dynamic FEC Redundancy Distribution Method for Layered Multicast

Recently, large amounts of people use Internet with various applications. Thus, it is required to realize high-capacity, high-speed and QoS guarantee in the network. To satisfy these requirements, label switching technique is now focused on. MPLS uses label which corresponds to LSP(Label Switched Path) and forwards packets by very fast hardware switching mechanism. GMPLS(Generalized MPLS) is improved to integrate label switching in multilayer. In the future, it is expected that failure on network will affect service contents more seriously because various applications are densely served on large area. Protection/restoration solves the problem, but it is difficult to apply to the network in which demand is not estimated.
